| This was The Beatles debut album. Released on March 22nd 1963 this album was already backed by the single Love Me Do. This album later went on to release many singles. I Saw Her Standing There was popular. It's a great song with a strong backbeat. They then released the title track. The harmonica and John's singing combined was brilliant. Twist and Shout was also a hugely succesful single. All in all this was a great album debut for The Beatles. And even more impressive was that it was only recorded at the EMI studios for 13 hours. As with most Beatles albums this was recorded in the EMI studios in Abbey Road, which was also the name of The Beatles final album while they were together. The location used on the cover of Please Please Me was later used for their two main greatest hit albums. Named The Red Album: 1963 - 1966 and The Blue Album: 1967 - 1969. | ||||||||||
