| On that fateful day in September, Where all our hearts skipped a beat. Planes crashing into populated buildings, Swept us all off our feet. It was a painful day for every American, But I think one of us hurt the most. She stands guard to our great nation, And to this nation, the guardian ghost. She sat there and had to watch it all, Just standing there in her harbor. Miss Liberty watched as we took a big blow, As she let four planes through the open door. She had to sit there and watch the buildings, As they both burned and began to fall. She will never let this happen again she cried, And that is a promise to us all! I dont know where you were that day, But the rain covered the tears she shed. Maybe this was a sign to us all, That we were all being misled. In the hardness of this all, We must look at what is good. They changed us forever, The way I thought nobody could. Trust, Unity, American Pride, These are just a few of the things, They're gonna be sorry they made us remember. When we justify what you did, And yes I'm talking to EVERY member! There will not be a one of you, Who will get away with what you did. I know someone who will make sure of that, Cause you messed with Miss Liberty's kids. Jeremy Davenport |
