I Never Want To Grow Old
I never want to grow up and old.
I wouldn't trade the past years for gold.
I want to go back to the good ol' days,
Where I can have my childish ways.
I want to again play hide and seek,
I wouldn't even mind if you peek.
Clean or dirty, either one I would prefer,
I just want things back the way they were.
I want the card and clothes pin I like,
That makes a motorcycle from a bike.
I want to again play with with little hotwheel cars,
And meet someone under the monkey bars.
I want to again be afraid of the dark,
And want to again chase squirrels in the park.
Again must I play in the dirt and sand,
And again must I conquer my own land.
I want to again play the game Freeze Tag,
And again want to carry that lunch bag.
Again I want to run all day and skip,
And even cry to mommy when I trip.
You see?  A child is never fake and never lies,
But adults do stuff to look good in other's eyes.
But you see, a child is unique and true,
And will cheer you up when you're blue.
There is no jealousy in a child's heart.
They love everyone from the start.
They have the biggest imaginations,
That's one of earth's biggest sensations.
