Round 7... 18/5/06
Fc Bobby 5 1 Spartans Fc Bobbys fixture against Dj United has been postponed due to the new fixture, and came across an unknown Spartans. In what was a pretty poor performance but Fc Bobby, they still managed to run out convincing 5-1 winners, and there one goal came with 20 seconds to go in the match. Fc Bobby has now won 2 games in a row. In what was an unconvincing display against a far inferior team, Fc Bobby will take their points. Fc Bobby was on the attack straight away and was keen to get off to a good start. A penalty was awarded as Spartans keeper picked the ball up as it was on the ground outside the box. Montag, who didnt want to take the penalty, was convinced to step up and take it, and the keeper saved it. A few minutes later, a great ball up the line, had Hazan running through on goal, and slotted it home in the bottom right hand corner for his 2nd of the season. At 1-0 the team looked confident and never really took a backwards step. Montag and Heilbron combined brilliantly with a one-two move, seeing Montag score his 10th major of the year. Ben-Danan made a quality reflex save from a long range powerful shot. With 3 seconds left in the half Ben-Danan conceded a penalty, but managed to save it. At half time the score of 2-0 didnt really show the dominance of Bobby over the Spartans, it should have been more. The second half belonged to Heilbron, in which he scored a hat-trick. Despite Heilbron being the main attraction this half, the defense also played very well, with Ivanyi and Fleischmann in great touch, and keeper Ben-Danan made some quality saves. Heilbrons goals all came from Hertz assists. The clubs leading all time goal scorer was unable to get on the score sheet today but had a total of for assists. Heilbrons first two goals came from great balls which he pummeled home with his left footy, while his hat-trick goal came from his right boot in superb fashion. At 5-0 and the club looking to break their clean sheet drought, Spartans pulled a consolation goal with 20 seconds to go, after what looked like a bit of manning up. Other than that, Fc Bobby didnt do anything wrong defensive wise. It was an ugly display from the Moneys but the players and fans will take the 3 points plus bonus points. Fleischmanns form was also a real plus for the team. Fc Bobby also jumps to 3rd on the league ladder, only a few points behind second. Once again Hertz was screaming Montag from his car. Also Jason Shadur has signed up for the Fc Bobby newsletter. Goals: Heilbron 3, Hazan, Montag 1 Next week: Fc Bobby vs. Yemazel, Sunday 21/6/05 @ 9:00pm.
Round 6... 11/5/06
Fc Bobby wins an upset! Fc Bobby 3 Locksmiths 2 In a superb effort, Fc Bobby has silenced their critics with a 3-2 win over top of the league Locksmiths. In what seemed to be a game that would be very one sided in favour of the Locksmiths, Fc Bobby turned their form around to end up deserved winners. The whole of the Bobby squad can be praised for their efforts, as when they had to defend; they defended brilliantly, while keeper Ben-Danan was in inspirational form in goals. The entire game was a very defensive game, but nonetheless it was very exciting, unlike watching Sydney. It was The Locksmiths who broke the deadlock through a great goal, but the defense stayed strong and kept their heads up. Before we knew it, two quick goals from Hertz had Fc Bobby 2-1 going into the half time break. If not for the bar, Fc Bobby could have had a greater lead; however Locksmiths could have been in front as well if not for inspiring keeping from Ben-Danan The second half started with solid defending from Ivanyi, Hazan and Montag. In a Brilliantly worked forward move, sweeper Hazan put himself on the score sheet, with the help of a pin point cross from Ivanyi. With a two goal buffer and the defense working exceptionally well, Fc Bobby looked likely to take the game out. Heilbron was showing signs of fatigue, which could have been from his flu injection prior to the game. He was subbed off for Montag with just 7 minutes to go, after The Locksmiths pegged back one goal. At 3-2 with 5 minutes to go, the defense held strong and didnt let in any lose players and hardly any shots on target. Fc Bobby held up the clock to run out deserved 3-2 winners. The Game was dominated by Fc Bobbys defense, which included everyone in the team at some stage in the match. Ben-Danans work in goals was very good, in his best performance of the season. It was also Ivanyis best performance. Ben-Danans suggestion to manager Chuck Norris to play Ivanyi in defense paid off big, after the game, Norris thanked Ben-Danan then round house kicked him in the face for proving him wrong. Once again Hertz was screaming Montag!! in the parking lot. Goals: Hertz 2, Hazan 1 Next week: Fc Bobby vs. Dj United, 9:40pm, 18/5/06.
Round 5... 1/5/06
Fc Bobby 4 Yellow Subs 8 The much anticipated rival game came to the arena tonight, only to witness a second half dominance by Yellow Subs. Fc Bobby came out firing though and played a great first half. Kamil proved a handful for the team, with him scoring a hat trick and setting up various others. On the plus side for the squad, Hazan played very well on one of the league top scores Factor, limiting him to 1 goal and blocking many of his shots. Hertz yet again played well up forward booting 2 goals. The first half started with Hertz putting Fc Bobby into the lead for the first, and what would be the last time of the game, with a great strike. Yet Yellow Subs scored the next 3 goals of the match, leaving Fc Bobby with a battle on its hands at 3-1. Heilbron and Montag came on for Hertz and Ivanyi with 6 minutes to play in the half, and the move proved to work pretty well. Heilbron scored a great from a tight angle, but The Subs had the answer with Kamil chipping in with a goal. Montag scored a great goal from out of his ass, when somehow fired in a shot, while squashed up against the net by two defenders. At half time Fc Bobby trailed 4-3. Unfortunately for the team, they were unable to go on with it, Subs scoring the first 4 goals of the half giving them a 5 goal lead. Fitness worries for the squad as well when Montag went off not even half way through the half; he clearly needs to be less fat. A bit of aggression between Hertz and Tal Avrahami late in the second half saw Hertz take a bit of a cheap shot at him. The aggression was certainly still there when Hertz scored late in the match from a tight angle. Ivanyi tried hard in defense to keep Factor to his only goal and succeeded in doing so. Yet it was lose defending by Montag and Fleischmann, allowing Kamil to score his three uncontested goals, well his first one was good. Also a couple of lazy goalkeeping errors, possibly due to bad defending also led to goals, yet Ben-Danans first half was very good. Fleischmanns passing down the line was praised by Hertz. Forward movement must be worked on and Fc Bobby will look to recruit a forward coach during the mid year break. Goals: Hertz 2, Montag, Heilbron 1 Next week: Fc Bobby vs. The Locksmiths 11/5/06 @ 7:40pm
Round 4 ...27/4/06
Fc Bobbys presence too much for Bloodsport 27/4/06 Fc Bobby proved to be a feared opposition tonight when it appeared Bloodsport had quit the league. Fc Bobby were awarded a 6-3 victory. A friendly match was arranged for the team to play. The game started out with no momentum as no one really wanted to play and didnt seem interested. The Opposition scored the 1st three goals through bad defending and turnovers. But Fc Bobby slammed the next 6 on to take the win. Fleischmann did everything right down back and of course Hazan played solidly across the back. Hertz played very well up forward whipping in a hat-trick, Heilbron scored one right foot goal so Chuck Norris will not be roundhouse kicking him back to Zimbabwe. Montag also chipped in with one goal, and Ben-Danan scored from his keeping area. Ivanyi missed a penalty to cap off the win. All in all a good effort all round and Sarah Suvlakis 87547826 year old deb partner is now in a nursing home. Thank you and good night. Fc Bobby now stand in 4th spot on the table, 2 wins, 2 losses and a goal difference of -3. Goals: Hertz 3, Montag, Ben-Danan, Heilbron 1 Next week: Fc Bobby vs. Yellow Subs, Monday 1st May at 8:20PM
Round 3 ...19/4/06
Fc Bobby Blitzed In what appeared to be an important game for Fc Bobby, they showed little in proving they will be a tough opponent, in a dismal 7-2 defeat. Fc Bobbys habit of conceding 7 goals in each loss is not having great affect on supporters. Misha Saps took part in the fixture but ran up the field way too much for a sweeper leaving poor old Heilbron by himself down back. The game started much like last week with no team scoring for the first 10 minutes, until fill-in goalkeeper Hazan took a step outside his area, conceding a penalty. Two more goals for Sub Me Off before half time saw them 3-0 up, as Fc Bobby was very disappointed in missing some easy chances in the first half. Ivanyi failing to beat the keeper in a one-on-one and Hertz missing the target from the edge of the keepers area proved costly. The second half started with a great save by Hazan in goals, rebounding to Hertz who flicked the ball over his head and scored from long range on a far angle. Superb Goal that was. However Sub Me Off had the reply, scoring within minutes. Yet Fc Bobby werent willing to concede defeat just yet with Hertz scoring from almost the exact same spot minutes later. At 4-2, Bobby had some momentum, but it was too little too late. The teams lack of structure and forward movement had them struggling to score any goals, and half the team didnt know whether they were back or forward. All in all it was a sad day, and by the end of it, I just needed a tissue and I missed some easy goals. After the game Hertz said, I have a hard on, as he walked to his car. The night ended at Heilbrons house where we watched our manager Chuck Norris in action and we learnt some valuable lessons from him. Goals: Hertz 2 Next Week: Fc Bobby vs. Bloodsport, April 27th 7:40 pm
Round 2 ...10/4/06
10/4/06 Fc Bobby demolish DJ United In a stunning form turnaround, Fc Bobby has blown away Dj United in a stunning 9-5 victory. With no substitutes, Fc Bobbys Fitness and character would play a major part in this fixture. Ivanyi, Heilbron and Fleischmann did not take part in the game. With the mid-week fiasco forgotten, Goalkeeper Ben-Danan was in fine form saving a penalty and making fantastic saves. Hazan was solid as a rock in defense and never looked like being beaten. Fill-in Saps had a stunning debut for Fc Bobby, playing well in defense and scoring a double. Hertz ran riot through the midfield claiming his hat-trick. Montag played much of the game up forward, kicking 4 goals and helping out down back. Dj United opened the scoring after 7 minutes of possession play, they found an opening. A quick reply from Hertz saw us draw level and another goal from Montag put us in the lead with 5 minutes left in the first half. United scored next with a solo effort from their star player. Fill-in, Saps gave the lead back to Fc Bobby with a great strike. Two late goals from united saw them lead 4-3 at the break, with a free kick goal rolling under keeper Ben-Danan. Fc Bobby were dominating and didnt deserve to be down at the break, constantly threatening on the counter attack put not putting away the chances. Hertzs half time speech was, kick the first goal and well win. This was a game Fc Bobby new was there for the taking. The second half started much like the first, no goals for 6 minutes, United slowing the game down as they were tiring, but Fc Bobbys attack was piling on the pressure. Somehow on the break United scored putting them 5-3 up. Montag capped off a great team move scoring his second, and swinging the momentum Bobbys way. Another goal from Montag tied the game at 5-5 with 7 minutes to go. United were tiring and playing very defensively, and the attacking pressure by Hertz and Montag eventually let to another two long range goals from Hertz and another to Saps killing off Dj United. The last goal was truly inspiring as United were clean on goal, Ben-Danan made a brilliant save. The ball rebounded of the keepers leg into the field of Montag who added insult to injury by scoring a good goal from long range. The rampant second half was a brilliant display of attacking soccer, as Fc Bobby piled on 6 unanswered goals to run out 9-5 winners. The team was pumped after Montag put the scores level, as he gave Hertz a very hard high five. Ive never been slapped that hard and not been hurtI think, Hertz said. The team was extremely satisfied with their victory and gave great praise to manager Chuck Norris. Everyone was in top form today, especially keeper Ben-Danan with his fine saves. Goals: Montag 4, Hertz 3, Saps 2 Injures: NONE Next week: Fc Bobby vs. Sub Me Off, Weds 19/4/06 @ 8:20pm
Round 1 ....6/4/06
Locksmiths thrash Fc Bobby 6/4/06 After some good news for Fc Bobby with players Marc Hertz and Joshua Ivanyi declared fit and ready to play in their season opener, The Locksmiths came out with all guns blazing in their 7-2 victory. Three players came in under an injury cloud, Ivanyi and Fleischmann (Flu) and Hertz (Groin). The match started off with the two sick players on the bench. Within 10 minutes Fc Bobby found themselves 4-0 down with keeper Ben-Danan not in the best form, before Ivanyi got on the score sheet, whipping in a goal from just outside the area. However with about a minute to play The Locksmiths scored a goal to put them 5-1 up at the break. Nothing was going right for Fc Bobby this week as many opposition goals were from bad turnovers and keeping errors. The second half started well for Bobby, Hertz netting a sensational goal from long range and the defense tightening up. Montag and Heilbron played well in defense in the second half after sweeper, Hazan, went off injured from which appeared to be a calf injury. With the score at 5-2 for much of the 2nd half Fc Bobby could take something out of the game. With two minutes left in the match Fleischmann who had been solid on the field came off struggling for air and threw up in the rubbish bin. Locksmiths scored two late goals to run out convincing winners, 7-2. If this wasnt bad enough for the team, after the match Ivanyi and Hertz had a verbal fight, with Hertz appearing to blame Ivanyi for not dropping back during the game. We needed help down back and he didnt assist, Hertz said after the game. I thought our defending was much better in the second half, except this week we forgot how to score, Montag said to Fleishmann in the car. Goals: Hertz, Ivanyi 1 Injuries: Hazan (Calf) Fleischmann (General sickness) Next week Fc Bobby come up against(I forgot to ask for the team name) at 9:00pm on Monday @ Anfield.
Practice Match....29/3/06
Practice Game 2 Tonight at Anfield we once again watched a gutsy effort from the boys from Bobbyland, bowing out 5-7 to a higher ranked side in their final preseason game. Starting the game 3 players short, Fc Bobby found out 30 minutes before kick-off that Fleischmann was available to play. The team had organized fill ins, Andrew Factor and Michael Laps to play for them. The opposition only had 3 players so we gave them the fill ins. Much to our disappointment, Factor kicked 5 goals and Laps played well down back and across the midfield. Fc Bobbys defenders kept infringing in the box, giving away 3 penalties, one saved, one hit the bar, and luckily only one scored by Laps. Fc Bobbys main concern was the turnovers in the midfield leading to opposition goals on 4 occasions tonight. Ivanyi started the scoring on the night kicking his first for the season, but three goals from the opposition within 5 minutes, two by Factor had the momentum swing the other way. Ivanyi restored some with minutes left in the half, scoring his second, keeping the halftime score at 3-2. Defensive errors in the second half by Fc Bobby were more noticeable, giving the opposition every chance to score. They scored a penalty to take a handy 2 goal lead and another few goals to Factor saw a 3 goal lead to the opposition, after Hertz kicked our first for the half the score was 6-3. But another goal from Hertz and one from Montag off the post left the keeper dumbfounded and the score was back to 6-5. The fitness level of both teams showed towards the end, after another defensive/midfield error resulted in a goal. The final score of 7-5 seemed pretty much accurate. It wasnt a bad effort from the team considering we played against a higher ranked opposition, plus Factors team is a league above ours, Montag said in the car home. The team was also pleased with Ivanyis return to form, Ben-Danans work in goals, and cant forget the rock in defense in Zaky. Fuck, Zaky is as solid as a rock down there! Heilbron said during the second half. Hertz said more work must be done in the midfield and from goal-throws. Heilbron didnt play this week due to Little Bitchiness, said Captain Montag, Hes got no excuses next week! Goals: Hertz, Ivanyi 2, Montag 1. Injuries: Nil Next week: Round 1, Fc Bobby vs. The Locksmiths 9:30pm @ Anfield
Grading game report...22/3/06
As you are aware u r very smelly. That being said this is my first match report for FC BOBBY. Well we arrived at Anflield last night n noticed we were playin against sarah suvlakis 48 yr old deb partner n his friends hoo seem to hav played soccer before. This was our first time playing together n we had no team play n were all unfit n fat. The game started pretty shitty for us with the opposition kicking the first 3 goals. An infringement in the goalkeepers box saw us win a penalty and was converted by moshe. However with 5 or so minutes left in the half Moshe went down to what seemed to b just a jarred knee n had to leave the field. THe oppositiions 4th goal came from a cross which deflected str8 off my kneee n went into the top corner. However with about 2 mins to go in the half Cram kicked a goal outta his ass from just afta halfway into the top left corner. So with the score at 4-2 at half time it wasn't too bad, I sat out the 1st 5 mins as i coodnt breathe well coz im a fatty. Cram kicked another goal from on the tightest of angles which went thru the keepers legs. We seemed to hav momentum at this stage after yossi had saved a penalty ffrom helbzs infringement. Ivanyi looked certain on goal but was penalised for a hand ball. I scored a goal after this into the top right corner, followed by a helbz goal to equalize, which was then followed by another goal by me to whip us in the lead. At 6-5 with 5 mins to go we made our last substitutions and moshe came bak on even tho he was injured. With two minutes to go you could tell our players were tiring n within 30 seconds the opposition had scored 2 goals to take the lead and eventually won 7-6. Luckily it was just a grading game n we were graded just as good as the opposition. Goals: Cram, tag 2, moshe (pen), helbz 1. Injuries: Moshe (knee) possible reco out for 3 weeks or season next week: Weds 9:30 prac match
