| Cause I hate AOL! |
| As you can see, the motto of this webpage is AOL needs a bitchslap. I seriously think this is true. I have been using AOL for around 5 years. And over that 5 years, the new things AOL says are ''good ideas'' really turn out to be shit. I'm not that old. Infact, I'm only 13. So, say what you want :). But as talking to a former AOL staff member (not releasing any names) that got laid off his job, because other people were getting hired into his position. Over 300 people got laid off from AOL's CAT (communuity action team). I am in no way puting anything that is considered 'unconstitutionalized' out here. So no one can even try any censorship on me. I know alot of people that are flipping AOL off and going to Juno or some other ISP and using AIM to keep in touch of friends. The number of people that are leaving AOL (people that I know atleast) is growing more everyday. The former staff member I talked to is even quitting the thing most people call 'AOHell' and moving somewhere else. AOL also believes that the new "$14.95 a month" thing will win people into staying with them. Truth is, it really isn't helping at all. Every step AOL takes is deturing more people away from it. The also newly remodeled KOL has more kids actually going outside then sitting on the computer. Censoring hosts telling them they have to talk using macros (example [this is what it look like in a KO chatroom] Screenname: Hi :) Screenname: No. Screenname: Yes. Screenname: Sure.) Kids are even starting petitions againsed the 'KOL'. The petition a friend of mine wrote, regarding the 'drone hosts' had over 600 signatures of kids wanting the hosts to be censored free. The former staff member I talked to said the reason that the hosts have to use macros to talk now is because some hosts were talking to kids outside of chat. Another issue that came to my attention is: is AOL segregating? The former AOL staff member I talked to said the hosts names are seperated by ethnicities. The former staff member tole me color host names are indians and animal host names are people from the philipines. KO is begining to be a troubled area on AOL. Kids are getting mad, but AOL sits back in their 3,000 dollar chairs, and laugh. Will the crap on AOL ever stop? I mean, it is an evergrowing problem. More and more people are leaving AOL, and the numbers show it. Staying connected is the worst. For the people like me with 56k dialup, you know that it isn't a simple task to stay online. I get disconnected ALL THE TIME. AOL says they're always trying to 'improve' connectivity, but they're honestly making it worse.
