Gattlenburgh, TN |

This was a fun voyage. My friend Paul & I went to The Great Smokey Mts. in Tenn.for four days. We attempted to hike up to the Apalation Trail, but fell short because of the relentless rain. After a comprehensive tutorial in wet weather survival, we headed to Greenville, S.C. for the Lake Eden Arts Festival and a $1000 slam. (that I didn't win) |

This is the TRAIL people! the RIVER is off to the right. Roaring like mad. As if to say "You'll never crest this mountain!" |

To put it in perspective, it rained for three days straight. And when it rains on a mountain... gravity happens. We could feel the boulders rumbling around as the river moved them. Like standing on thunder. |

Durring a brief break in the weather, we unpacked & tried to dry some things out. |

After three very wet days on the mountain, we desperately needed to trash this hotel room. It was very cathardic. |
