BUDDY BLUE 1957-2006 |
THE FARMERS - Virtually the original line-up of the legendary BEAT FARMERS minus the late great Country Dick Montana (with the addition of Dick's excellent occasional/ perennial replacement on the drum kit, Joel Kmak). YES, the absence of Country Dick is worthy of dropping the word BEAT in the band name, but THE FARMERS of 2005 are ripened and world-wise in the best of ways. The tasty twang and loopy songwriting swagger of Jerry Raney and Buddy Blue are fine tuned and undeniable on their new CD "Loaded"! |

BILLY & The FID - Fascinatin' shake n' bake wobbly baroque pop rock that sets the feet inside your inner child's soul a-stompin' and the burnin' windmills of your past life mind a-buzzin'! |
ALICE STUART - She sings like a bird and plays that geetar like a tiger! She writes, interprets and combines folk and blues like a world-wise wizard with a thousand pounds of soul. |

BILLY WATSON - Yes, he's kinda silly. No, he ain't one of Slam's illegitimate children. But if ya watch real close and listen real good ya might learn something about the outer limits of goofiness! Blues with a bruised funny bone and some good harp playin'. But best of all...DA BOY'S GOT PROPS! |
ROBIN HENKEL - When this fella gets a lasoo round his wild thang it's camel kickin' blues rodeo in the desert! Delta/cowboy style Thelonious funk banged out on a sweat soaked dobro. And let me tell ya, this brother sweats! It's swingin' psycho cactus jazz...but it's also Robert Johnson with an acid spiked fruit basket balanced on his head! |
ROBERT WALTER - Jazzed out, deep fried pigeon fat funk on a stick! An extra big helpin' of hot & steamy Hammond B-3 keeps all groove-meat together! Jimmy Smith and Eddie Harris discussing The Mother's "Grand Wazoo" after a case of Lucky Lager! |

TOMCAT COURTNEY - Now this is a cool cat. But if he stops grinnin' at ya, back yer ass off! Tomcat is 77 years old and plays genuine rollickin' Texas house party blues that'll put mule dust `tween yer teeth and d'boogie in yer behind! |

BUDDY BLUE 1957-2006 - Rock-a-billy, blues, butt stompin' shwing, gutter jazz and straight up rock, all delivered with greasy growlin' precision, taste and an unrelenting bad ass attitude. He's also my favorite music journalist on the planet and an all-round highly diversified ultra clever potty mouthed loonatic....And I'll miss him very much. |

GAYIEL VON - Ya gotz the whole show inside this lady! Show tunes, lung bustin' blues, colorful stories and enough pipes and good vibes to make ya wanna order a bucket of cocktails and stick around all night long! She's hung with Bob Hope, Red Buttons and Milton Berle...what else y'need to know??!! |

JOSE SINATRA - Acid lounge? Mock pop opera? Brain fever satire on the cult of celebrity?...I'm not really sure how to describe it or what to call it. But I know Jose Sinatra is the best in the world at it. Chances are you'll pop an eye outta yer skull from laughing...or maybe you'll pop an eye outta yer skull as a small and humble offering to "THE HOSE" (as he's often called by his close friends). It's been known to happen y'know. |

MIKE KENEALLY - Slice & dice geetar masterpieces that are thoroughly blenderized and then splattered all over the musical map. Lovely acoustic daydreams and psychotic shred noodlings all dispensed from a daring pop tart test tube perspective! |
ALIEN FLOWER - Stuff to gaze at, stuff to read, stuff to listen to, stuff to feed, feed on and stuff to be fed by! It's a multi-media carnival of sights and sounds run by the makers not the keepers. Don't be scared. It's really quite a friendly little spot. |
