DIABLOS SEASON 2

The Diablos came into season 2 coming off a successful inaugural year and on opening day, they beat the Slashers in the first televised game of the season. However, a pre-season trade with the Slashers would doom the Diablos, as their last round pick Adam Hooker became the Slashers starting stopper and led them to the X Division playoffs.

Several key losses doomed the Diablos, as they were the only team to lose to the  Steal until overtime of the final game of the year. The Diablos also let big games against the Mob and Rumble slip away on TV. Despite all this, they still entered the final game of the year against the Slashers with a chance to make the playoffs, but they couldn't get past Hooker and lost by 3 points.

Mason Gordon returned to start at handler for the Diablos. He was backed up by rookie Ramone Floyd, who was the Diablos best first-year player.

First-team All-Star David Jackson and former stopper Ray Ross were the gunners. While Ross had a good year, Jackson, while still a tough and hard-working player, failed to keep up with the top scorers in the league. His twin brother Jim Jackson joined the Diablos, but contrary to expectations, was not identical to his brother in skill. Quinton Nowling was another rookie gunner.

At stopper, Anthony White took over the team late in the year and led the team in both stops and points, which is rare. He was backed up by Robert Grogan, a former member of the Steal.
