Hello all,

My name is Greg Zeigert and I live in Elkhart, Indiana which is known as the RV capital of the world.  I am the proud owner of the newly named Michiana Mustangs. Michiana you ask?  It is a locally coined term, origin unknown, for the area I live in which is comprised of Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan. Hence Michiana. About 90 miles from Chicago which is why I have been cursed to be a fan of all the Chicago teams, Bears, Cubs, Bulls. I still mourn the loss of my favorite athlete of all time, Walter Payton.  I have also have become a fan of the Colts of late but they were still in Baltimore when I was cutting my teeth as a young football fan.

 The second part of my team name comes from the fact that I am the owner of a 1966 Ford Mustang.  That and it fit real well with Michiana.  And the coup de grace is that I have selected Ford Field as my home stadium.  I thought about changing the team name to the Ford Mustangs but decided against it.  Sounds too much like corporate sponsorship although if any Ford executives are reading this and want to chip in a few bucks I’d be willing to listen.  My helmet that I have chosen is from my son’s high school team who are known as the Elkhart Memorial Crimson Chargers but hey it has a horse and a mustang is a horse too so what the heck.  And I love the Crimson and Gold colors.

 Now a little about me.  I am 45 years, married to my wife Sandra for 21 years and the proud father of two boys, Andrew who is 21 and Corey who is 16, both of whom are way smarter than me or at least they think so. The oldest is a senior at Ball State University.

 I am employed as a controller (bean counter) for a local building products distributor serving what else?  The RV industry.  I've worked here for going on 18 years now. I work very hard. In fact I am working right now as I write this. Multi-tasking I think it is called.

 I have been playing Action Football for probably going on 10 years now but have only been participating in online leagues for maybe the last 3 or 4. I am in 4 other leagues besides this one but they are spread out over the year so as not to be over burdened at any given time. I also own the baseball game and an older version of the basketball game but have yet to try any leagues with those.  I also enjoy the occasional shoot ‘em up video game as well.  But I do I try to live a real life as well. I like to play golf, shoot a little hoops in the winter months and drink the occasional cold beverage.  Oh, and do stuff with the family now and then too. 

 Anyway, that is enough for now if anybody has read this far or is still awake. I look forward to meeting and chatting with each of you as this league gets off the ground.  It seems we have a great bunch of owners and I think this league will be a resounding success.
