Grandpa McKenzie died around 2pm central time today. I will miss him, he will be remembered in my heart.
Grandpa, if you can hear this where you are know that I loved you very much and I really wanted to make it there for your final moments.

Will it be okay, really?
So, knowing that no one, save Joe ever regularly checks this page anymore (I Checked the stats) I feel much better about putting this here. I know I can lock my journal, but I don't want to have to. I want to just write. I called my dad yesterday to see if they had made it to MN again safely. They went for an emergency trip to meet with the family out there. I want to be there right now, not counting grains on a stupid piece of metal! The metal doesn't have a dying grandfather. I DO! So anyway, he apparently had called me to let me know they had made it safely but my phone, as usual, didn't tell me I had a message. Oh well. So he told me grandpa was doing poorly and that I should look at flights for this weekend. Apparently the hospice people are saying he is at the final stage of living, whatever that means. My parents have a meeting with them at 10am central time. I am so anxious it is painful! I want to know what is going on and I am the only one who is so far away. They should be in there right now - I want to know what is happening, and I have no idea!!!!!!!! just bought some anti diet stuff to satiate myself! crunchies are good. so anyway they told me that he might not last the week but I should plan on getting a flight this weekend. He advised me to call the airline and see if I could get the ticket applied to a ticket to his funeral if he dies before this weekend. I purchased the tickets a few hours ago, for anyone who cares -

I just hope I can see him before he dies. I can't concentrate on work today, it is awful! The meeting is going on 3 hours now, I wish someone would call me, I want to know so badly! I feel like there is this fog enveloping me and that I can't get out of it. It is following me around and holding me back. I should try to work.
