From the propmt: "Love won't die..."
"Diary"

Asia reached up and untied the first knot, murmuring the incantation under her breath. Power began humming in the air, and she undid the second knot. There was an audible snap! and then her nimble fingers moved onto the third knot. The air shimmered, and as the knot fell away the shelf in the wall appeared.
Asia browsed the rows of her journals, from engravings in stone and metal to parchments, papyrus and leather bound volumes. Some of her oldest writings, written with the shaky hand of a five-year-old, she could barely read herself. She'd written in so many languages over time, some lost, some still mysteries to archaeologists today. She found a roll of scrolls and scanned it idly, mind easily shifting gears to the graceful curves of sanskrit. She'd written her journals into almost separate lives, some volumes dealing with dead relationships, others with Dagaz life. And one was based on observance, watching the different cultures that she wandered through. It wasn't there, though...
She sat down on the edge of her bunk, carefully cradling a stone carving in her hands. She'd been five when she'd written it, and it was horribly misspelt, which probably accounted for her difficulty in reading it. She wondered if she should just translate everything in her head and get it typed and saved on the Dagaz database or write a bunch of translation programs for each language so that the languages wouldn't be lost if she ever died.
She looked up and her gaze fell on a leatherbound volume with the name "Samuel Wolfe" written down the spine. Setting the stone tablet down carefully, she picked up the book and sat on her bunk, curling her feet under her. She flipped the book open to the first page. She smoothed her thumb over the ink of the page, tracing her memories. Beginning to read, she sank back into reverie.
My name is Amy. That's my new one, as assigned by Sector Three. My assignment is Samuel Wolfe.
She read, fading out of the world, falling into a swirl of emotions and memories. She could feel it again, remember it, they way it felt to be kissed by sam, to be in his arms. She smiled to herself and curled up on her side, still reading.
There was an explosion in her mind, the psychic effects mimicked by her sense. Sound roared in her ears, the sent of roses wafting around her. The flavor of blood lingered on her tongue, and she sat up, confused. She winced when someone slammed into her mind.
(Commander! Commander! Are you there?),BR> It was Gabriel's voice, yelling desperately.
(Commander? You're closed off! I can't --)
She jumped at the insistent pounding on the station door. She slammed the book shut and shoved it onto the shelf. She began recasting the spell, fingers fumbling as she tried to tie the knots in place again.
"Commander, are you in there? Let me in!" Gabriel pounded on the door. His voice rose in panic. "Angel, I can't open the door!" The doorknob rattled.
Asia opened the door with her mind. "It's okay Gabriel, really--" she started, fastening the last knot, and the shelf vanished.
He burst into the bunk room of the station, eyes wide. "Commander." He grabbed her and pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her. She could feel his mind reaching out to hers, caressing tenderly. She sank against him, surrendering to his warmth.
"What's going on?" a steely voice demanded.
Gabriel gave a start and pulled back. DJ stood in the doorway, blue eyes icy. Tension hung in the air, so thick it was nearly tangible.
There was an unspoken agreement between the boys on the team -- none of them made a move on Asia unless she made a move first, which she never did.
"He was worried about me -- I was reading and I guess I blocked off subconsciously," Asia said quietly. DJ glanced at Gabriel darkly, but he could feel across the web that Asia was telling the truth.
"C'mon Gabe, we've got a job to do," DJ said quietly.
Gabriel nodded and turned away without meeting Asia's gaze.
"Do part," she called after them half-heartedly.
The door clicked shut and she sank down on her bunk, wrapping her arms around herself. She bit her lip, trying to ignore the stabbing pain in her heart.
She would always love all of them, she realized. Making them hate her for jumping from life to life, it was all she could do to stop before she started tearing herself apart.
Her love for each of them would never die...
