Personalities
Everyone is more than one person; we all show different sides of our character to different people, and keep other aspects of our selves private. So who are the personalities that make up me?
First of all, i am 
Sequoia
That is my given birthname, used on all of my legal documents. Sequoia, despite being me, is the personality i am the least sure of. i am never fully aware of the perceptions others have of me, and Sequoia is very volotile. Bitchy and outspoken, she is also observational and introverted. Sequoia is a contradiction that has never felt any connection to her name. i have never felt any connection to my name, and with one as unusal as Sequoia, it should have shaped my development. However, i find myself easily adapting and shifting into other names and characters.
Betty Haynes
is my internet alias. Betty is net savy, she belongs to mailing lists that she lurks on, she surfs, she downloads, she reads and writes slash. Betty has several websites. She exists on the internet to give me space and separation. i can controll people's perceptions of me without worrying that anyone knows who i am. People ask me why i need an alias, and if i have one, why put so little separation between us. Betty simply allows me freedom.
Betty
of the backwards E is also the author of several nonsensical comics, including stress ghost, the adventures of innatimate objects, and peer pressure boy. Betty herself is a character in several of these comics, portrayed as a stick figure with Bettie Page hair, often wearing a wensday dress and large boots, one of my favorite school otutfits. Betty is also the character used to portray Sequoia in the disco inside my head and in any comics i make about my life. Betty of the backwards E is very cynical, more so than i am.
Nurse Nancy
is an even seedier incarnation of Betty Haynes. Nurse Nancy is Nancy Hayes's internet personality, and Nancy Hayes is an offshoot of Betty Hanes. Did you follow that? No? Nurse Nancy is in charge of kitten porn, when it is in operation and is responsible for mental hygene. Nancy Hayes isn't fully formed, she usually is a backup for Betty Hanes if additional names are needed.
Veronica
is the name given to guys who ask who i am, are too wasted to care if i tell them the truth, and i will never see again, let alone finish the conversation with.
Cereza Sabrosa
is my drag queen personality. She's a small blond New York Puerto Rican boy in a dress. She walks in tiny quick steps with her hands on her chest, wears platform wedges, small skirts, and says "you know?" a lot. Very fond of giving speaches with the theme of you have to believe in yourself. Nods and fluffs her hair while speaking. Her name means cherrry delicious, and she works as a makeup artist for a small theatre company. Cereza Sabrosa has a very different voice inflection and cadence than Sequoia; they speak with very different vocabularies and structures.
Cassie
i suppose is the name of the ambiguous chinese daughter personality. people often ask me if i'm partially asian (i do have the asian flush) and i suppose she is a strange emergence from my reading of far too much laurence yep and amy tan as a small girl, and then in high school from the chinese literature i read. she's the part of me that worries about my mother, worries about the seven deaths, tries to be obidient, is superstitious. if i had a past life i was probably a chinese pesant girl.
