Home United coach Steve Darby was delighted with another victory in the AFC Cup but he was even more impressed with his team hard-earned victory.

As the match was play in the afternoon, the weather was a factor at 38 degrees Celsius & the tough tactics used by the Maldives team was another factor. Therefore coach Steve Darby was glad his team had play well in such condition. He also felt the Valencia team was not given enough credits & it was not a bad team.

However he could not understand why Singapore international Indra Sahdan got the red card as it was the Valencia team who was kicking them all over the field. He stated it was not a foul but just a collision in the middle of the pitch & he was furious with the decision.

He was still pleased with the discipline his team showed throughout the match & they did not retaliate to the tough tactics used by the Maldives team to derail their play.
