New Woodlands Wellington player-coach Simon Clark has set himself a near to impossible target of being crowned S-league Champion.
After Home United performance in the AFC cup match against Hong Kong Champion Happy Valley, many are already predicting that the S-league trophy will not be going anywhere this season.
However player-coach Simon Clark feel it is not an unrealistic goal given the strength of the Rams this season.
According to Simon Clark, he was given free rein in his team selection & he personally picked 10 new players in a bid to make the Rams title contenders.
Francis Gomez, deputy chairman of Woodlands Wellington, fully agreed with what Simon Clark as he stated the management had thrown the entire strength of the club behind the player-coach to achieve the goal.
Woodlands' new signings included goalkeeper Yazid Yasin, Ahmad Latiff, Mazreswan Masturi, Samawira Basri, J Kalaiselvan, Ronald Kesavan & 2 Koreans – midfielder Kim Eun Cher & striker Park Kyung Guy.
