Reflecting the mood of this football-crazy country, Vietnamese fans are already predicting a 2-0 victory over Indonesia to go top of Group A & cement their place in the Tiger Cup semi-final.

Many fans in Vietnam had already bet on that scoreline as well as a Vietnam victory.

The main reason is that the 2 regional competition – Tiger Cup 98 & SEA Games 03 – the Vietnam team had always with home ground advantage played above their self in reaching the Final before losing to the eventual champions.

There is why they were disappointed with how the team was faring in the Tiger Cup thus far with the fans & media first disappointed with the opening 1-1 draw against Singapore & then angered by the next match when they had a hard time against Cambodia who had for long period restrict Vietnam to a 2-1 lead before Cambodia finally collapsed towards the end.

That is why many fans felt the team must now showed the true face of Vietnam football & achieve a victory over Indonesia to qualify for the semi-final on top of Group A.
