Singapore have turned to youth for this year’s Tiger Cup, naming a 22-man squad which includes just seven players over the age of 24.

Still there is a good deal of experience with the back having 1998 Tiger Cup winner defenders skipper Aide Iskandar & S. Subramani while in midfield there is still hardman Goh Tat Chuan. In attack it is lead by Singapore current number one striker Indra Sahdah.

It is in no doubt though that the essence is definitely on youth with several youngsters like midfielder Tengku Mushadad from Home United prime league & defender Ismail Yunos, who has yet to play for a professional S-league club winning the confidence of National coach Raddy Avramovic.

Singapore, Tiger Cup winners in 1998, kick off their campaign against hosts Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City. The Lions are in Group A with Vietnam, Indonesia, Laos & Cambodia.
