S-League, Singapore professional football league is scheduled to start the 2005 season from the third week of February & end in October.

This means the season will stretch into the Ramadan fasting period. Deepavali (Tuesday, 1 November 2005) & Hari Raya Puasa (Thursday, 3 November 2005).

Meanwhile, the Singapore Cup 2005 competition should still see some foreign non-S-League teams again, together with FA Cup winners & NFL 1 runner-up NFL side Tampines Rovers SC.

This year, it saw 2 foreign non-S-league sides DPMM of Brunei & Cosmoleague competing in it. The Brunei side & Cosmoleague though were knocked out in the every first hurdle with DPMM losing 1-2 against the Rams while Cosmoleague were thrashed 0-6 by eventual Double champions Stags.

It is highly unlikely that the Cosmoleague team will be invited for next year.
