After spending most of 2004 S-league season at Hougang
Stadium, Sinchi is moving back to Jurong
Stadium for the 2005 S-league season
Responding to this, Sinchi vice-chairman Wang Jinhui said it would be most unfair to expect Sengkang Marin, who have based
themselves at Hougang Stadium since joining the
S-league in 1998, to move out so that Sinchi can
remain there. Therefore the Western based club will be moving back to Jurong Stadium.
Sinchi had to play their 2004 S-league season at Hougang Stadium after their Prime League player Jiang Tao died after being struck in a lighting accident at
Jroung Stadium during training & their players
became unwilling to play at the stadium anymore.
So would Sinchi be still affected by it as
their Prime League is left intact for 2005?
Not according to Wang as his reply is that the players have move on &
with the new safety measures taken the players have become more assured.
Agreeing with that is ex-Sinchi & Young
Lions player Shi Jiayi who said while he remembered Jiang
Tao it would be just another match if he had to play at Jurong
Stadium next season
