Since taking over the job last year, national coach Radojko Avramovic has been blooding youngsters in the national team & now many of the Lions are the age of 23 & below & have an opportunity to earn a place in the squad for December's Tiger Cup.

They included Khairul Amri, Imran Sahib, Ishak Zainol & Jaslee Hatta etc.

Avramovic said these players need experience at the international level, where the pace is faster & concentration is needed for the entire game. The best way to do it is by playing them in games like this.

The Lions are virtually unrecognisable from the team which lost 0-1 to India in Goa in February. From the squad of 18 who travelled then, 11 are not in either due to injury or poor form.

With 6 players below 20, & an average age of 23, the young team will also stay together for the friendly against Thailand on Oct 23 as Home United & Geylang United players will be unavailable as their teams play in the AFC Cup semi-finals that week.

Avramovic message to them is simple: prove yourself & keep your place
