SAFFC coach Jimmy Shoulder is upbeat despite watching his men go down 1-0 to FC Basel U21 team at Choa Chu Kang Stadium.

He stated he was delighted with the Warriors performance & that it was worth 10 training sessions. It was the kind of performance football should be played & all top teams play such football was his view of SAFFC performance.

He is confident of transforming his side into a team that play high tempo & attractive football.

FC Basel U21 star striker, Senaya Yoa Junier had earlier make a promise to score in the match against SAFFC & he did it when he broke the deadlock with a diving header in the 62 minute of the 2nd half. Thus SAFFC, 1 of the Big 3 in Singapore football, was left staring defeat in their warm up match before the 2004 league campaign start.

SAFFC had undergone a major revamp after last season disappointing league campaign with several big players like Ahmad Latiff & Mirko Grabovac released & the new players coming to the club many are unknown.

Coach Jimmy Shoulder is aware of the task ahead to rebuild the Warriors.

He acknowledged SAFFC is a big club in Singapore & there is need to bring glory to the club. Still he is not worried & with decades of experience, he is not bothered by pressure.
