There is light at the end of the tunnel for Tanjong
Pagar United.
Soon after
it was reported that the Jaguars had not been paid their wages for the past two
months, a well-wisher had come forwards to contribute to the club's coffers to
ease their financial woes.
Jaguars
chairman Matthew Kang admitted it saying the amount is not huge, but is enough
to settle at least part of the problem & he is grateful for it.
He is
unable to release the name of the well-wisher as the person wishes to be anonymous.
The players
therefore should received their July salary by Monday but they have to wait
until after the club's fund-raising golf tournament - which will be held next
Friday - to get their wages for August.
Also at the
moment the Jaguars will continued to be in discussion with the S-League to come
up with a financial package to help settle existing debts, which are believed
to be around $600,000.
