The Young
Lions may be all but mathematically out of the S-League title race, following
last week's surprise 2-1 loss to Tanjong Pagar United but coach Kim Poulsen
is looking for a return to the values that took them into title contention in
the first place.
The Dane
believed there was a distinct lack of the Young Lions' teamwork, as complacency
had obliviously crept in, when they tried to shrug off bottom-placed Jaguars.
Poulsen said
against Tanjong Pagar
United, some of the players seem to have forgotten why they had been doing well
all season & allowed themselves to put their personal interests before the
team & he will not stand for it.
The Dane, who
is to be relived of his post at the end of the season, was angry especially as in
the match they had a lot of chances to retake the lead in the second half if the players had cooperated more with each
other.
That is why
he want to see the teamwork again when they play Geylang
United at Jalan Besar where
the Young Lions had been unbeaten all season proving to him they are worthy of
a place in the team.
