Unlike Woodlands Wellington player-coach Simon Clark who has already ruled his team out of this season’s title race, SAFFC Jimmy Shoulder is refusing to throw in the towel just yet.

With his team lagging behind league leaders Tampines Rovers by 9 points with only 6 games remaining, it is hard to image how the Warriors would stay a chance but Shoulder believes that there is still enough quality in his squad to take on the big boys & make up the difference in points.

The former Wales U21 coach said the team he coaches will always try their best to win every remaining game & further more the Warriors fate is still in their hand as they will play the top 3 teams in consecutive matches, starting with Tuesday’s game against Tampines Rovers & winning all 3 would go a long way to sustaining the Warriors’ final charge for the championship.

To prove his point, Shoulder conducted a training session with his players on Monday, even though it was National Day - a public holiday.

When asked the reason for that, Shoulders felt it was a funny question as there was a game against Tampines Rovers the next day & the Warriors had to prepare for it.
