Pahang has claimed the inaugural Malaysian Super League title, finishing the season 9 points ahead of nearest rivals Selangor Public Bank while last year M-league champion Perak had finished a disappointing fourth behind Perlis

With this title victory, Pahang would be 1of the 2 FAM representatives in next year inaugural ”Champions of Champions" series which will see the Malaysian Super League champion playing the S-League champion, & the Malaysia Cup winner playing the Singapore Cup winner, both on a home and away basis.

Sarawak & Kedah will be replaced in the Super League by Selangor MPPJ & Malacca Telekom, who won their respective Premier League pools to be promoted.
