They had came into the S-League in a blaze of publicity, and promised to show Singaporeans what Chinese football was all about.Vice-chairman blames inexperience for club's poor performances but since making their S-League debut in the 2003 season, Sinchi have made the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Their short history in Singapore makes for grim reading: 3 coaches have been sacked & more than 2 dozen players have been axed in just 2 seasons.

Sinchi finished a disappointing seventh last season & currently up to now for the 2004 season, it is not any better as he China-based club are rooted at the bottom of the table after suffering a shocking13 defeats in 18 matches.

Sinchi vice-chairman Wang Jinhui admitted it is heart-breaking as a lot of money had been pumped into Sinchi & all involved wanted to see results but somehow the club just stumblied from one mistake to another.

For that he blamed the fact everybody running the club are still inexperienced in managing a football club

Sinchi are desperate not to finish bottom of the 10-team S-League & that have lead them to sack coach Xie Yuxin.

Poor performances in the first half of the season saw 7 players replaced by a more experienced bunch but after seeing no improvement in results, head coach Xie Yuxin was sacked last week.

Wang aid he was satisfied with Xie in terms of his work ethic but his coaching expertise was not up to the mark so they decided to go for a more experienced coach, with more strategic & tactical know-how in the hope it would be able to help the club do better.

With it is looking hopeless for the club to improve on last season performance one must asked what of Wang's bold declaration earlier this season that Sinchi would quit the league if they did not improve from last season?

Wang answered even if they end up bottom, Sinchi will still be here next season as the agreement with the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) was a 3-year deal & they will stick to that.

However if they continue to perform poorly after that then there's no point carrying on
