For several months now, Woodlands Wellington midfielder Kim Eun Cher has not been as focused as he wished with his family back home in South Korea very much on his mind.

Not that the Korean is homesick, but the reason being his father-in-law is suffering from a critical illness.

This is why every time Kim steps out onto the pitch, he says a quiet prayer for the 62-year-old.

He explained his father-in-law are very close to him & he have a lot of respect for his father-in-law. Still it is worse for his wife as the couple is here in Singapore & cannot be by his side.

Nevertheless it was even worse last month when Kim's father-in-law needed to undergo heart surgery urgently to save his life but the family in Korea could not afford the operation.

He was devastated as there was nothing he could do to help & that is why he was forever grateful to the Rams when the club came to his aid.

The Rams' management offered Kim's family some financial assistance for his father-in-law to get treatment immediately.

Kim thanks the Rams as his father-in-law's condition is now much better with the treatment.

That is why the hard-working Korean midfield anchorman is now eager to lead the Rams to regain lost ground in the championship race & win the championship

There is also the private reason that he wish to dedicate his championship medal to his father-in-law.
