Singapore U17 won the Lions City Cup after they thrashed Hong Kong 4-0 at Jalan Besar.

Singapore U17 had earlier in the group stage won only 2-1 against the Hong Kong team but they were brilliant in the Lions City Final & were 2 goals up in the first half & finishing the job in the second half with another 2 goals

FAS president Prof Ho Peng Kee was delighted & hoping this is the start of a new journey for the Singapore National team.

However he warned the U17 team against overconfidence as Singapore still had a long way to go & they must not let this success get onto their head.

Meanwhile Singapore U17 coach V. SundramMoorthy is also delighted but felt his team needed to be given more exposure so that they could be the new budding stars of Singapore Football.
