The saga
have ended but it was disappointing for Sutee as it
become final that the deal for the Thai midfielder to move to K-league Busan Icons is off.
Despite passing his medical the Thai still could not get a contract
with the K-league side as an agreement was not reached.
Sutee was on the brink
of a monthly US$7000 salary with Busan Icons until
the Koreans pulled the plug.
It is
understood the Busan Icons coach Ian Porterfield
wanted Sutee but faced stiff resistance from the club
management.
It is
believed the club management prefers a player from Europe or South America to
replace former player Chris Marsden who left the club
to join Sheffield Wednesday as they were afraid of the fans wrath of signing a
player from South-East Asia – considered by them to be a region whose standard
is too low to produce any great player.
Left with a
situation where the Thai was struck in no man land, the Thai & his agent
decided to make the trip back to
Certainly
disappointed by the whole episode but Sutee was glad
it was over as playing in the K-league would have been a great bonus but he
feel Home United was still a great club able to match any in the Asian region.
