After just a year in the job, Balestier Khalsa coach Jang Jung had been assigned to new duties in the club.

Tigers chairman Balbeer Singh has confirmed that by saying Jang Jung is serving out the rest of his contract as a coaching ‘adviser’.

Jang Jung assistant Abdul Karim Razzak has been installed as caretaker coach, until a new coach is found.

The decision had come after the Tigers disappointing losses against Sinchi (6-3), Tanjong Pagar United (2-1) & Geylang United (4-1). All these 3 teams are considered beatable & it was vital for the Tigers that they were able to collect points against these 3 clubs but the Tigers not only failed but were badly bruised from these encounters.

When contacted to ask for his comments about the decision, ex-coach Jang Jung only expressed as coach he must take responsibility for the results of the club
