Leaders Woodlands Wellington are starting to entertain thoughts of landing their first ever S-league title when the Rams step out against the Eagles at Woodlands Stadium. Half the season will have gone by after this match & the Rams are sitting pretty on top of the NTUC Income-Yeo's S-League table so it is not difficult to see where their confidence come from
Woodlands midfielder John Wilkinson said he is excited that the Rams had been on top of the league for as long as they have & the thought of the S-League title have started to pop up in a few others as well him.
No doubt they try not to think about it too much in case it affects them, but it is always in the back of their head as everybody in the club are constantly checking out the league table, calculating the points total if they won.
It has indeed been a different ball game for Woodlands this campaign & -coach Simon Clark is still trying to banish all talk of a genuine title chance, trying to ease the pressure on his players.
He want everybody to know that every team that play the Rams now are conscious of the fact that they are top of the table & will no doubt raise their game as well as the fact every team is capable beating each other should mean the title could go right down to the wire this year.
The side with the most courage will win it & Home United, SAFFC & surprise package Young Lions, are the sides likely to push the Rams all the way so nothing is certain yet.
