After the shock death of Chinese player Jiang Tao in the Prime league, another Prime league player Sembawang Rangers midfielder Izzuddin Rajabally almost became the second player to lose his life as a result of a collision in a Prime league match.

From Sembawang fan website stablenews.net, Izzudin Rajabally jumped for a header & collided with a Balestier defender. The ref blew for a Balestier freekick, while a shaken Izzudin went off the pitch for treatment. Five minutes later, he was on his feet… but only momentarily. The injury was obviously more serious than initially hoped. By the end of the game, an ambulance had arrived to take Izzu, who seemed to be suffering from a back injury, away.

According to media reports, after medical treatment he went back home but during the night he suffered from terrible pain that forced his family to send him back to hospital.

He had to endure an operation & is currently in ICU.

Apart from worrying about him there is the medical bill as the operation cost a bomb & the doctors want to operate on Izzudin Rajabally a second time soon.

NTUC Income insures S-league & Prime league players for up to $100000 & above.
