Before the season had even started, they were written off as the weakest Warriors squad ever assembled but now they are gunning for the title.

Where they once boasted foreign players like Thai international Therdsak Chaiman & Kiatisuk Senamuang & local international like Fandi Ahmad & Naizr Nasir among their ranks, SAFFC now have had to rely on foreigner Guinean Boubacar Keita & local U23 Ashrin Shariff this season.

However the picture has changed just three months into the season. Keita has stamped his authority upon central midfield & Ashrin has been banging in the goals.

The Warriors, rated a mid-table outfit in pre-season by other media but not this website which view them as top 3 material, currently lie in third place just three points behind league leaders Woodlands Wellington.

Whispers of a title challenge can be heard around Choa Chu Kang.

Still SAFFC captain Nenad Bacina warned there is still a long way to go & the league is competitive this year so until the final game nothing is certain. However he viewed the Warriors as aiming for the title as they have shown themselves capable of that.
