Double Champion Home United is set to lose Thai midfielder Sutee Suksomkit as he is on the verge of signing for Korean side Busan Icons.
The Protectors have accepted an offer from the Korean for the speedy midfielder but the deal is subjected to Sutee passing the medical & agreeing personal terms.
However it is understood the deal with Home United will involved no transfer fees but instead have a sell-on clause, which will see the Double Champion received a substantial amount of the transfer fees if Busan were to sell Sutee to any other clubs.
There is not expected to be any problem on personal terms as Busan has offered Sutee a US$6000(S$10300) a month contract which is more than double his contract at the Protectors.
Meanwhile Sutee is delighted that he will have a chance to prove himself in the K-league. He would be the first Thai to play in Korea if the deal go through.
A key member of the Protectors team, coach Steve Darby hate to lose Sutee but will not stand in his way as it is the club policy to encourage players to further their career.
