Tampines Rovers have confirmed their 2004 squad of 20 players with the signing of Aliff Shafaein.

Aliff Shafaein was widely expected to return to the Home United squad after being released by the Young Lions but however he was released from the Home United squad when Home United coach Steve Darby chosen to promote 3 of his Prime League players to the 1st team squad.

As a result Aliff Shafaein joined the Stags after impressing in a friendly against the NFL champion Police SA. The friendly match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Tampines Rovers have only retained 9 of their previous 20 players from last season. From their 11 new recruits, the most number of players came from SAFFC with 4 of them.

The new season will also see ex-Sembawang Rangers coach Vorawan Chitavanich coaching Tampines Rovers.
