Top spot in Group D is still very much up for grabs between S-league Champion Home United & M-league Champion Perak after away victories for both teams.
Home United scored a 2-0 win over Happy Valley in Hong Kong with Indra & Peres getting the goals while Perak edged past Club Valencia 1-0 in the Maldives to remain tied on points at the top of the group.
With the matches between the 2 sides finishing in draws, goal difference is likely to decide the final outcome of the group with Home United in a good position, having scored five more goals than their rivals.
Home United last match is against the Maldives side Valencia at Bishan & with home advantage the S-league Double champion is expected to take Group D. Even with second position, Perak should be confident of getting through to the knockout stage as the Malaysia Champion has virtually collected the most number of points among the teams in the runner-up spot.
