Rams player-coach Simon Clark does not care about any history & has stopped his 2 players Ahmad Latiff & Masrezwan Mastrui from playing in the Sultan of Selangor Cup to be held at the National Stadium on Sunday 16 May 2004.

The Eagles & Protectors have been allowed to pull their players out of the match as the 2 clubs are playing important matches in the AFC Cup next week. The 2 clubs are on the verge of making it into the last 8 of the Asia competition & FAS feel if they could make it would be a boast to Singapore football.

FAS director of football Quah Kim Song is disappointed Simon Clark for his own selfish reason is unwilling to risk his players for the match. That is nothing FAS can do as he has done nothing wrong for putting his club priorities above the league

As for Simon Clark he insist he was right to do that as there is an important match against the Warriors & he does not want his 2 main players to be distracted. Also if any of them got injured there is no compensation & he does not want that to happen.

As the S-league is entering the new professional era, Simon feels the Rams must be more selfish so that the club can achieve more.
