At the age 33 & staring retirement from the game anybody would be forgiven for wanting to rest on their laurel but not Stags winger Steven Tan.

The Stags winger is training harder than ever & often stay behind for extra crossing sessions.

He feels even at his age he is still learning the game & adapting to what his coaches want from his him. His current coach Thai Vorawan Chitavanich wants more accurate crosses & this is what Steven is working on in training so that he can provide that for his coach.

He wishes that could be the same feeling when talking about young players honing their technique skill as at the moment the kids are more interested in playing 2 sided game & not learning the basics.

He hoped the kids will know that without learning the basics when they are young they cannot hope to play football at a higher level in future.

Certainly with the dream of helping the next generation, Steven Tan who has a coaching B Licence could one day be teaching kids the Steven Tan work ethic
