Adrian Dhanaraj season with the Young Lions is over. But that was not his overriding concern as the only question in Adrian's mind at the moment is if he will ever play football again

On Saturday, the midfielder suffered a broken leg during the Singapore Cup clash against National Football League side Sembawang Sports Club. The 20-year-old defender was at the end of a horrendous tackle by Sembawang SC Malian defender Bah Mamadou just 30 minutes into the match at Jalan Besar Stadium & was rushed to Mount Elizabeth Hospital.

Mamadou, whose team were eventually hammered 7-0, escaped with just a yellow card for his reckless challenge.

The response thus far on his injury is that he will get to play football again. He has been ruled out for at least six months ending his S-League season & his dreams of representing Singapore in December Tiger Cup.

However Adrian Dhanaraj do not blame Mamadou as Adrian knows Mamadou did not meant it. He knows injury is part & parcel of football so he does not bear any grudges over the tackle.

A dejected Mamadou had offered his deepest apology to Adrian after the match. The former Gombak United & Balestier Khalsa defender regret what he did as he never go into a match looking to hurt someone. He is hoping Adrian make a speedy recovery

That is something Adrian hope will happen as well
