Albirex Niigata is hoping the win against the Stags at Jurong East Stadium is the tonic they need to rejuvenate their season. Having target a top 3 finish before the season the Swans was in danger of being pulled down into the bottom half of the table as they collect only 2 points from their last 4 matches
Swans coach Ohashi acknowledged the win was a relief with his team experiencing a slump in form after having gather full points from their first 3 games. He wants that victory against the Stags to be the start of another charge by the Swans.
Still the Swans had pay a heavy price for the victory with leading scorer Yasuhiro Tanaka & midfielder Shoji Yamada sustaining injuries from the match against the Stags.
Their next match would be against bottom 3 Tigers at Toa Poyah stadium
