IT was the first award of his coaching career, but his acceptance speech was one of caution.

Looking at the result after the clash against Home United, Woodlands Wellington player-coach Simon Clark felt the whole team have worked hard for the coaching award. However nothing matters more than being on top in September.

The 36-year-old had just received the NTUC Income-Today Coach of the Month (March) award from NTUC Income chief information officer James Kang, pipping Home United Steve Darby and Albirex Niigata Hiroshi Ohashi to the prize.

3 S-League fans also had cause for celebration. Sun Nee Lee of Mount Rosie Terrace, Melor Mohd Saad of Woodlands Street 13 and Ng Kok Leong of Yew Siang Road correctly predicted Clark would win. The trio won attractive prizes, courtesy of NTUC Income.
