Eagles coach Scott O'Donell was delighted this team has taken a major step towards securing second place in the AFC Cup Group E.
In the face of injuries & suspension, the Eagles again prevailed to defeat Malaysian FA Cup champion Negri Sembilan 2-1 at Bedok.
However he believed top position is not out of the question as there is everything to played for when the Eagles traveled to Salt Lake Stadium to meet East Bengal on May 6.
Also he praised the entire team for their performance, as the Eagles never gave up despite going a goal down at half-time. In attack he is pleased Chang Hui is settling down after a horrible start & together with Aleksandar Duric, are developing a great partnership.
Still he reminded his team that there is still a lot of things to improve on especially in the league where the Eagles are still hovering in the bottom half of the table.
