Liew Kit Kong 35' (OG)

Khalid Jamlus 14'

V Saravanan 90'

An injury-time equaliser by V.Saravanan earned Malaysian side Perak a 2-2 draw with Singapore league champions Home United at Bishan stadium in the AFC Cup.

Perak were reduced to 10 players for much of the game after the dismissal of Asmawi Bakiri for a handball on his goalline. The offfence also resulted in a penalty, which was coolly converted by Sutee Suksomkit to give Home an early 1-0 lead. However, Perak hit back quickly as Khalid Jamlus levelled in the 14 minute after receiving an excellent through ball from Liew Kit Kong. But the Malaysian international undid all his good work when he was the player who overhit a backpass, which went between the legs of goalkeeper Tay Sin Kiat into his own net in the 35 minute.

Despite playing with the man advantage, Home United could not killed off the match as they continued to waste the numerical chances that came their way & were punished deep into injury time when Saravanan put the ball into the net after K.Nanthakumar's shot had been saved.

It was Home United sixth match in a row without a win in the League & AFC Cup, but they remain top of Group D, ahead of Perak on goal difference.
