As SAFFC prepared to visit Bishan Stadium to take on Home United, the burden of expectation will be weighing heavily on Australian striker Jon Angelucci to break his duck for the Warriors.

Despite having come with a reputation of having finished as the 2nd highest goalscorer in the M-League last season, the Australian has yet to score in 4 games here & that is the only statistic that concerns SAFFC supporters & him.

He is frustrated not just that he is not scoring but also because the Warriors are not doing well in the league.

He had before the start of the season boasted he could take over SAFFC legend Mirko Grabovac but now after 4 games he has no goal but Mirko Grabovac has 6 goals & is the league top scorer.

However SAFFC coach Jimmy Shoulder is keeping faith with Jon Angelucci. The former Australia and Wales under-21 coach believed the Australian is not having any problem with confidence as he is neither despondent nor discouraged at the moment & once the 1st goal arrived, he will settle down.

At the same time, Jimmy Shoulders admitted, despite this SAFFC squad not being as good as previous squads, there is a lot of expectation because of the name SAFFC carry in the S-league.

It is causing anxiety among the players who are worried about it

He is trying to get them to stop focusing on the result, but to focus on their own performances as he knows if you have a player who is desperate to get a result it can caused tension which is not good. However if they go out & enjoy themselves, the results will come.
