Daniel Bennett, who returned to Singapore in last May, as he missed home after helping the Welsh side Wrexham to win promotion to Division 2, where he had made 27 appearances for the Red Dragons.

But now, the Lions international is eyeing another stint in the English Football League at the end of this year.

He had been approached by English Division 3 clubs Oxford United & Bristol Rovers. They are keen to sign the versatile 26-year-old England-born player when his current contract with SAFFC expires at the end of this season.

Managed by former Arsenal star Graham Rix, Oxford are currently sixth in Division Three & looking good for a play-off spot in their bid for promotion this season. Bristol Rovers are in 15th place.

However Daniel Bennett want everybody to know he had not spoken to both clubs yet, but he know that they are interested in my services. He had received a call from Bristol last week and someone he knows in England is trying to arrange everything for him.

It is known the English clubs would like to take Bennett on as early as in June — during the English football pre-season — but the 2001 S-League Player of the Year is contracted to SAFFC until December. Furthermore, Bennett wants to be part of Singapore's bid to reclaim the Tiger Cup this December, before embarking on the fresh challenge.

Still he know it could be his last shot at playing professional football in England as he is not getting younger anymore
