Woodlands Wellington's bid to sign former England international Stan Collymore is off after the 32-year-old striker failed to agree terms with the Rams.
His demands were too much for the Rams to afford & they had decided to give up on him.
In a chequered career, Collymore turned out for 11 clubs in England and Spain but his talent was undoubted but his commitment was often questioned. He had also won 3 international caps for England.
With the collapse of the deal, player-coach Simon Clark have indicated that the club is still looking & talking to other foreign players.
It will be a striker, the Rams will look to bring in as they have lost both their deadly duo strikers of Itimi Dickson & Agu Casmir to the Young Lions when they were called up by FAS.
Currently Woodlands Wellington had filled up 3 out of the 4 foreign slots with the retaining of John Wilkinson & Simon Clark (Player-coach) while capturing Balestier Khalsa Korean Kim Eun Cher.
