The Jaguars without 2 foreign players were never in the game & were lucky to be only 2 goals down at half time. In the second half, the Stags showed no mercy & hit the hapless Jaguars with a further 7 goals. Noh Alam got all his 4 goals in the second half

Rudy Khairon 9'

Sinchi lost their opening match at their new home stadium Hougang as an early Rudy Khairon goal finished them off.

Rudy Khairon belted in a screamer of a goal to put the visiting side ahead. Sinchi player Hu Jun was casually robbed off the ball by Noor Ali just outside the penalty area & Noor Ali dribbled his way through, drawing out keeper Chen Si before cutting the ball back into the centre but the ball was ball away. It fell at the feet of Rudy Khairon who needed no invitation, blasting his shot from all 30 metres out into the left corner of goal. There was nothing that Chen Si could have done to prevent Rudy from notching his first goal of the season.

After that the match became a stalemate with both team unable to produce anything special.

Of great joy was that the Eagles did not get a single caution nor concede a goal. Sinchi is still winless after 2 games.

The Young Lions created a major upset as they turned over Double winner Home United at Jalan Besar to win 2-0.

Agu Casmir & Itimi Dickson who form a great parntership at Woodlands Wellington got the goals for the Young Lions to record the Young Lions first victory. Agu was involved in the action that won the penalty after S Subramani ended his scintillating run by tripping him just inside the box. The Singapore international dusted himself to take the spot kick dispatching it into Sean Roberts net. Even before the celebrations in the stands had died down, Itimi Dickson played a nice one-two with Fadzu, setting up an opportunity for himself to lash a low shot past Sean Roberts.
