FAS have reprimanded S-League referee R Vijay for his horrible decision to send off 2 players at the match between SAFFC and Woodlands Wellington 2 weeks ago.
They have decided to slap a 1 month ban on him after the FAS referees' committee ruled that his decision to send off both SAFFC's Basri Halis and Woodlands' Kim Eun Cher during the match was wrong.
Mr M Maniam, deputy chairman of the referees' committee, stated the committee have taken the appropriate action & now they are counselling Mr R Vijay so as to ensure the same mistake will not be repeated.
However the committee have not rescind the 2 red cards as under the Fifa constitution, a referee decision is final.
