"Ah. Umm. Huh. Oh. Hmm. *Sigh* Heh. Mmm. Ha. *Snort* Uh."
Lately, I haven't even been giving that much effort. It's generally been a state of Kathy blabbing for an hour and me going "..." throughout it. Every now and then, I can't keep my mouth shut, and I actually ask for her to start talking.
Me: *mumbling to myself* "I can't find this guy anywhere in the system!"
Kathy: *overhearing* "Who?"
Me: Shit! I spoke out loud "Oh, this guy, John Smith."
Kathy: "Oh."
A few minutes pass.
Kathy: "I can't find John Smith either"
When I said at the very beginning, "I can't find this guy anywhere in the system" generally means I've already looked for him. So why would Kathy go and look for him? Why won't Kathy mind her own business? Why do I have to ask myself these questions? Why can't I just keep my mouth shut around her?
Although, the great part was that I got a pretty good dig at her with this. My response to Kathy was: "I know. I already told you that." It shut her up but good! She didn't say anything after that, when usually it would have turned into an hour long conversation on how she is great and I am worthless. Oh, and how she is smarter than me.
Kathy: "You can answer that last email that is for me because i'm not going to answer it since he is upset with me and I don't want to have to answer his question that I raised with my [stupid] answer that I gave him previously, so it's all yours, 'kay?"
Me: "Huh?"
Kathy: "The one email left. I'm not going to answer it. You answer it."
Me: "..."
Kathy: "Okay, I'm just gonna give him the standard reply "Thank you for your opinion. Have a nice day!'"
Me: *boggles*
How can anyone be so mentally deficient? Was she born that way? Can she die that way? No, seriously. As in today.
Kathy: "So, i'm leaving you at zero emails, correct?"
Me: "Uh huh."
Kathy: "Good. That's what I wanted to leave you at."
Me: "Okay. Thanks, Boss of Me."
What the hell does she mean that she wanted to leave me with no emails? Like she planned it? Hardly! She didn't even answer very many emails today. And it's like she planned it? So what the hell am I gonna do all afternoon, Boss, if I don't have any work left for me?
