The 1998 Leonids: Photographs by the author

The very first picture I took during the "night of the fireballs" (with 28 mm/2.8 on 400 ISO film) turned out to be by far the best: One very bright and two fainter meteors are visible on this shot directed towars the rising Leo constellation. click here for a larger view of the full image!

The only other good photograph I obtained comes from the morning of Nov. 18: a nice fireball at dawn.
