1. No mare will be bred or palpated until the Stallion Service Contract has been completed and signed, and a $200.00 non-refundable booking fee has been paid.
All other fees including board and veterinarian expenses will be due and payable upon receipt of statement. Expenses incurred shall be paid in full prior to the mare’s departure from the breeding facility.
2. Mare must be in sound healthy condition, halter broke, have current vaccinations and deworming, also a uterine culture is suggested.
A COPY OF THE MARE’S REGISTRATION PAPERS MUST BE RETURNED WITH THIS CONTRACT.
3.The breeding season will begin February 1^st and close July 15^th. Diligent effort will be made to impregnate your mare. Normal veterinary care as deemed necessary including reproductive care will be paid by mare owner. If for any reason the mare does not become pregnant; the mare owner will not hold the stallion owner, Skyview Ranch, and/or their representatives liable. A "Breeder’s Certificate" will be issued by the stallion owner for each live foal born as a result of breeding services herein provided. All fees and expenses pertaining to this breeding must be paid in the full prior to issuance of certificate. There shall be no right of return to the stallion for re-breeding the following year if said mare is sold or changes ownership, without prior consent of stallion owner.
4.Live Foal Guarantee by stallion owner is contained herein with return privilege for the year immediately following. "Live foal" means that the foal resulting from the breeding stands alone and nurses. If foal is born dead or dies within the first 24 hours, this guarantee only applies if the mare’s owner. 1) Notifies stallion owner within 72 hours after the time of foaling that the mare did not produce a live foal and 2) Within ten (10) days after the mare owner’s notice, the mare owner provides the stallion owner with a statement from a licensed veterinarian giving the particulars required to substantiate the failure of the mare to produce a live foal. If the mare should prove barren or miscarry, the stallion owner will rebreed the same mare in the year immediately following. A substitute mare approved in advance by the stallion owner may be sent if the original mare is deemed unfit for breeding or dies. If the mare is to be re-bred and the mare owner fails to deliver her for re-breeding by July 1st  in the year immediately following, then any and all fees shall NOT be refundable and this contract is thereby cancelled. There will be a  $200.00 rebreed fee due and payable on any rebreed the following year.
5.Mare owner understands and agrees that neither stallion owner, Skyview Ranch, and/or their representatives will be held responsible for accidents, sickness, death or escape of the mare and/or foal. This includes fires, theft, and acts of god. This includes any and all claims, losses or damages and liability of any kind. Furthermore, mare owner agrees that the above named parties shall not be held liable for any negligence or errors in their judgment in supervising and caring for mares and foals including while being transported to or from Skyview Ranch. Mare owner acknowledges that their presence on these grounds and signature of this form that they have accepted the limits of liability resulting from inherent risks of equine activities. EQUINE INHERENT RISK LAW, ORS 30.687-30.697. Any dispute related to this contract will be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon and venue of any dispute arising from this contract shall be in Deschutes County, Oregon. No other agreements verbal or implied, are included. This contract may not be transferred or reassigned. If this contract is for cooled semen transportation, a completed and signed Transported Semen Contract and all fees must accompany this Stallion Service Contract and be returned to Skyview Ranch at least 10 days prior to the first shipment of semen.
